Jessie is an actor, director and filmmaker based in New York.

She’s been acting and directing for over a decade: her first experience working at a professional theater was her senior year of high school, when she directed a stage adaptation of Lois Lowry’s The Giver at Round House Theater in Washington DC. She then attended Northwestern University, where she studied acting & directing and worked on plays in Chicago.

Since moving to New York, she’s fallen in love with filmmaking and has been working in independent film as a director, writer, and actor. Most recently, she made her directorial film debut with Gold Rush, a dark surrealist satire of the Ozempic era. She also recently assistant directed the off-Broadway play Job, a New York Times Critic’s Pick.

Jessie is passionate about bringing complex female characters to life with vulnerability, humor, and intelligence.
